Hello my friends. I can’t believe it has been a year since I began this Blog. I created it in the heart of 2020, in the midst of the covid 19 outbreak; with lockdowns, isolation, the introduction of masks and the 2020 U.S. election year. A lot has happened and there are many changes all over the world, but there has been one constant… God.
ROMANS 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God has never left us even though it seems that Satan has raised his ugly head and has shaken the world to it’s core.
Do not fear for Christ has overcome the world,
.John 16:33 – These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
and He promises to be with us always.“…surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:20
My friends, I believe that God has heard every prayer, caught every tear and has been by our side every minute of every day, especially when we found it hard to see Him or feel Him in all the mess we have been facing.
I believe that Our God was there during the darkest hours of the covid 19 outbreak, at every bedside in every ICU and was holding our loved ones in Nursing Homes when no family member was allowed to come and hold their loved one’s hand or to be there when they passed from this world into Glory.
He was at every kitchen table as we all struggled to make ends meet when the checkbook didn’t hold enough to pay the bills, the mortgage or the rent and when many lost their businesses and watched their savings disappear.
He was there with every parent as they tried their best to keep their children from being as afraid as they were or when students struggled to learn in isolation without classrooms or the comradery of friends.
I believe He caught every tear of each man, woman and child as they were caught in lockdowns with abusive partners or parents with no hope of escape because shelters were closed and no one was able to respond to their cries for help.
God was there watching as our churches, schools, stores and restaurants closed and handshakes, hugs and smiles became mere memories.
He knew. He saw. He heard everything; every cry and every voice, as our cities were torn apart, businesses were destroyed and when anger and frustration swallowed our streets like a tsunami and He’s still here today, as we face new challenges, a new covid strain, new mandates and continued threats to our life, our families and our civil liberties.
God has never left our side through every good, bad, anxious, ugly, heartbreaking moment. He has always been there and always will be. He is how we have survived and will continue to survive no matter what the rest of this year or years to come may hold for us.
I just want to say THANK YOU, GOD for holding on to us even though we seem to have drifted so far away from You, and especially when we have trouble seeing You in the midst of this storm. I know we will be stronger because of and in spite of this nightmare we have found ourselves in. I believe YOU are strongest when we are at our weakest and especially when we need YOU the most.
THANK YOU, GOD for being our light in the darkness, our anchor in the storm, our rock to stand on and our salvation when this world fails us. Help me, Lord God, and all those who have heeded your call to speak your Word into these dark and difficult times. Help each of us to continue to do Your Will and to be faithful to your Holy Name.
My dear friends, I pray that my Blog, these humble words written and thrown into cyberspace through the internet over this past year, have blessed you and brought you closer to the God who hungers to be close to you.
I pray now, Father God, that you will allow me to continue to do your Will, to spread your Light and Your Love through these blogs, these notes of encouragement. I ask for your blessing upon me, Lord, and upon all of the other bloggers and authors who have also been inspired by Your Word, Your faithfulness, Your mercy, grace and love.
I pray that through You and Your Word, Lord God, we will each continue to inspire and enlighten, encourage and strengthen all those in despair and in search of Hope. I pray that you help us to bring them into a closer relationship with You, Oh Lord; the One who loves us and Who will never leave our side…no matter what this broken world and this life throws at us. In Jesus’ Holy Name I pray. Amen
Blessings, my friends. Thank you all for following me on this site. I ask that you Pray for me as I will continue to pray for you. VICTORIA
